At A Glance...

This is an automation course that walks you through Make.com from “never opened it” to building advanced, cost‑efficient workflows.

It’s organized into 100, 200, 300, and 400‑level modules that cover fundamentals, using Zach’s templates, then designing, debugging, and scaling your own scenarios.

Along the way you’ll learn how to use Make for list building and cold outreach, including rate limiting, batching, error handling, and keeping your Make bill under control.

Use it alongside the provided templates to go from copying Zach’s beginner automations to confidently designing, testing, and maintaining your own complex systems.

Use it to:

– Understand Make’s core concepts and terminology
– Plug in and configure Zach’s beginner, intermediate, and advanced templates
– Build list-building and outreach scenarios from scratch
– Debug errors, timeouts, and weird edge cases
– Reduce CPL and Make costs with batching and optimization

Then run it to:

– Decide what should/shouldn’t be automated in your business
– Plan new automations with SOPs before you build
– Safely scale from single scenarios to multiple, interacting workflows
– Keep complex systems stable with logging and error handling

Welcome to the 🪄🤖 Automation Magic technical guide!

This Technical Guide is set up to empower you to get exactly what you need, depending on how far “down the automation rabbit hole” you want to go.

Most of it is oriented around a tool called “Make” / “Make.com,” which allows you to create powerful automations without any coding experience, that’ll allow you to automate a bunch of different tasks for list-building, lead enrichment, and more.

Regardless of whether you’re a developer or a totally un-techy person, this section is structured to [hopefully] not overwhelm you or cause you to de-rail into a 3-month “automation rabbit hole.”

This technical guide is broken into 4 key sections…

Make 100 — Fundamentals

Learn what automations are, how they work, and if they’re something you want to leverage for your list-building approach.

Within this section:

  • Make 101: Automation Fundamentals

Make 200 — 🫑 Beginner Automations

Learn the basics of how to leverage Zach’s beginner-focused Make.com automation templates and how to create your own (if you’re so inclined).

If you’re a non-developer-y person (copywriters, designers, etc.), you may find that the “Make 201” section is all you want to do, which is totally fine and can still be a huge game-changer for you.

Within this section:

  • Make 201: Using Zach’s “🫑 Beginner” Make Templates
  • Make 202: Building Your Own Basic Make Automations

Make 300 — 🌶️ Intermediate Automations

In this section, we’ll get into more advanced automations that incorporate batching and other advanced functionality that can lower your Cost Per Lead (CPL) and increase the power of your automations, but also carry more complexity.

As always, it’s broken into what you need to know to simply use Zach’s intermediate templates, and what you need to know to create your own.

Within this section:

  • Make 301: Using Zach’s “🌶️ Intermediate” Make Templates
  • Make 302: Building Your Own Intermediate Make Automations

Make 400 — 🔥 Advanced Automations

This section focuses on the more technical & advanced techniques that are required for the most complicated sorts of automations.

We break this up as always into the steps needed to merely use Zach’s pre-built templates, vs. building your own.

But that said, non-technical folks (copywriters, designers, etc.) may not be too keen on going this far down the rabbit hole. You tell me!

Within this section:

  • Make 401: Using Zach’s “🔥 Advanced” Make Templates
  • Make 402: Building Your Own Advanced Make Automations
