Prerequisites Before You Start Building a List

The most important thing for you to know before building a list is who you help and what problems you solve for them.

That’s why the order we typically plan campaigns & lists in the $200k Freelancer course looks like this…

  1. Define the loose niche you’re going to serve
  2. Map out their problems
  3. Plan solutions to those problems
  4. Plan offers you’ll deliver to solve those problems
  5. Define your specific Ideal Client Profile (ICP) so you know what kinds of leads to build a list of

Then build your list.

That way, you go into the process knowing what companies to find and how to create messaging that’ll resonate. Knowing these two things gives clarity on…

  • Where to source your raw leads
  • How to filter them down to match your ICP
  • What kinds of personalization markers to gather for your emails
