The “Delete” Action
The “delete” action is pretty dang straightforward and arguably doesn’t even deserve its own lesson in this course.
But alas, here we find ourselves and it’s too late to go back so I guess we just have to live with the consequences of my choices.
(They say “the only way out is through” and I’m pretty sure this is what they were talking about.)
So, since we’re here, here are a couple tips & notes RE deleting leads:
1 — I don’t generally recommend deleting vs. archiving, as I explained in the ‘“Favorite & Archive” Actions’ lesson
2 — When you delete a company, keep in mind that it will delete all contacts associated with it too
3 — You CAN safety delete contacts without worrying about fudging metrics of past campaigns they were in.
We’ll talk about #3 more in the Campaigns module, but just know that when you delete a contact, it’ll still show in past campaigns you put them in, and will display them as an “orphaned contact:”
