“What To Do When My Source Spreadsheet Has Companies AND Contacts!?!?”
Sometimes your source leads sheet will have both company AND contact info, like it does in the example sheet we’ve been using in this module.
In these cases, don’t fret!
Simply upload the sheet first in the company tab and map all the company-related fields, then once that’s done, upload the same sheet in the contacts tab and SKIP all the company-related fields (except domain, for unique identifier matching) and map the contact fields.
If you have a sheet with multiple contact columns in it, e.g. “contact_1_first_name,” “contact_2_first_name,” etc., you will do one separate upload per contact you have, mapping their fields to the global ones. e.g…
- Contacts Page Upload #1
- Mapping: contact_1_first_name → First Name
- Mapping: contact_1_email → Email
- Contacts Page Upload #2
- Mapping: contact_2_first_name → First Name
- Mapping: contact_2_email → Email
This will result in two contact rows for the same company.
