The best place to learn Make.com? The official Make Academy!

It’s free, thorough, and highly recommended for learning the ins and outs of Make.

Why Make Academy?

Comprehensive: Their tutorials cover everything from the basics to advanced features, so there’s something for everyone—whether you’re just starting out or already tech-savvy.

Deep Dives: Make Academy offers deeper dives into specific functions, tools, and automation techniques than we’ll go into here.

Huge Time-Saver: By learning from the source vs. tinkering and “figuring it out yourself” you can often shortcut mannnnnyyyyy hours of frustration (spoken after 12 hrs of tinkering that I could have shortcutted with ~3 hrs of make tutorials)

NB: No Need To Binge The Whole Academy

I was able – as a technical person with some automation experience – to binge everything I needed from the Make Academy in one day. Took about 3 hours total. But you DO NOT need to do that.

Throughout this technical guide, each module will have a “Recommended Make Academy Learning For This Section” where I’ll link to specific Make Academy lessons relevant to that section.

This will help you avoid a big “learning rabbit hole” and help you learn in a targeted way, without feeling like you need to complete the entire Academy.

If you’re non-technical, their beginner modules are ideal for picking up the essentials. If you’re experienced, you can often jump into their more advanced lessons to cherry-pick only what you need.
