Make 201 Checkpoint / Test Out
🤔 Are You Ready To Move On?
How to know if you’re ready to move on? Two routes:
- 🏆 A) Experienced with Make.com Already — You’re already experienced with Make automations and will test out of this module. You should know, at a minimum, everything from the “🏃Expected Knowledge Before Moving On” section at the bottom of this page.
- or…
- 🙇 B) Did The Learning — You went through all the “Core Training” in this section and the recommended Make Academy learning.
(”Core Training” = Anything that’s not marked as ✨ Optional Bonus Context)
Once you’ve done one of the above, complete the 🏁 Checkpoint and mark this section complete.
🏃Expected Knowledge Before Moving On
Before marking this section complete you should have the following knowledge:
- I understand basic Make.com terms, like “module,” “scenario,” “trigger,” “loop,” etc.
- I know how to find, dupe, and configure Zach’s Make templates
- I understand the different Make.com automation trigger types, and know to use the single-run trigger 99% of the time for list-building tasks
- I know how to look at notes and the “airplane button” explainer mode when using templates
- I know the gradual ramp-up process for testing automations without burning through a bajillion credits
- I know how to calculate your CPL from an automation, and you know that you need to take in account both the cost of make operation credits AND usage for external tools that the automation calls on
- I know how to debug automations when they’re not working as expected
