Taskmagic (as a scraper)

  • What is it?Taskmagic describes itself as an “automated virtual assistant.” You record yourself doing tasks and it can replicate the actions. A lot of people use it for scraping. It does a lot of things Zapier does, but can run locally on your computer and doesn’t charge you by the task like Zapier would.
  • Pros
    • If you can get it working, you can do some really powerful stuff
  • Cons
    • Really big learning curve. I bought it during a lifetime deal on appsumo and have tried to use it a few times, but I tpically end up spending a very long time and not getting the best results. Haven’t tried it yet for scraping though; I could see it shining there.
