What Makes An Automation A “🫑 Beginner” Template?
In this section, you’ll learn everything you need in order to use Zach’s “🫑 Beginner” templates.
(It’s MUCH easier to use Zach’s templates than it is to build your own from scratch, so that’s why each difficulty level is divided into “using training” and “building training”)
But you might be wondering what exactly makes something a “🫑 Beginner” vs. “🌶️ Intermediate” or “🔥 Advanced.” Let’s take a look…
What Makes a Template “🫑 Beginner-Friendly?”
- Minimal Steps in the Automation: Fewer steps mean it’s easier to follow and manage, with less room for complications.
- Minimal Data Passing: Limited data moving between steps keeps things simple and reduces the chance of errors.
- Low Debugging Risk: Fewer components and straightforward logic reduce the likelihood of needing frequent fixes or troubleshooting.
- Low Accidental Explosive Cost Risk: With fewer steps and limited data handling, there’s a minimal chance of overspending on operations.
- Basic Workflow (Minimal Looping or Branching): Beginner templates avoid complex loops or decision points, so you don’t have to manage multiple paths or iterations.
- No Batching: These templates run one lead at a time, which means a higher CPL (Cost Per Lead) compared to batched templates, but simpler execution
- Example Comparison: A ChatGPT-driven template running one-by-one will have a higher cost in Make credits versus a batched version. $0.005 vs $0.001, so nearly 5x the cost, but still under a cent Cost Per Lead (CPL) either way.
