  • What is it?This is one of Thomas’ all-time favorite strategies, because you can find absolute GOLD MINES. This strategy is when you find list of top companies in your Ideal Client Profile (ICP) and build your list from that.
  • Pros
    • When building your list from a directory, it’ll be super targeted.
    • Not many people are doing it, so not a lot of competition. Free personalization.
    • Sometimes lots and lots of low-effort high quality leads (e.g. healthcare). There are directories for most industries and most locations.
  • Cons
    • Lead volume cap; you often can’t get loads of leads.
    • Sometimes you’ll only see the top 50 or 25 of the thousands of companies that are out there, if it’s a super-duper-niche directory.
    • Not all niches have directories.
